Valentine’s weekend I had the great pleasure of photographing Leslie and Mark’s wedding at The Sonnet House. Leslie has been a dear friend of our family for a very long time, and I photographed her daughter Lindsey’s wedding alongside Emily Kicklighter just a few years ago. I first met Mark through volunteer work with aTeam Ministries, a ministry that helps families dealing with pediatric cancer. In addition, we are all in church together at Shades Mountain Baptist Church. So many wonderful connections with this awesome couple!
Leslie is such a sweet person who has the wonderful gift of making people laugh, and it was no different on her wedding day! The thing I noticed all day long was how she and Mark looked at each other so adoringly and shared lots of laughter. The best kind of laughter too…the throw back your head, open mouth kind of laughter. Love it!
After several weeks of snow and ice in Birmingham, we were thrilled to see sunshine and warmer temperatures on their wedding day! During the ceremony, the Minister of Music from Shades and his wife sang “Be Thou My Vision”. It was such an incredibly worshipful moment and a meaningful one because I know the desires of Leslie and Mark’s hearts are for the Lord to be their vision in their individual lives, and as husband and wife.
Leslie and Mark, I wish you all the best for a beautiful life together filled with lots of joy and laughter! Thank you for the honor of asking me to be a part of your happy day!
