Jana contacted me in November to photograph her December wedding at her sister’s Farm in Ashville, Alabama. She and Hunter were tired of waiting and ready to tie the knot! In a very short time, Jana, her family and friends pulled together the most amazing wedding day, paying attention to every detail. The only thing that couldn’t be planned for was the weather. It rained all day without stopping, so every photo had to be taken under cover or inside. But, the weather didn’t put a damper on the joy of the occasion! Hunter just rolled with it and Jana was a beautiful, calm, composed and sweet bride. I never heard either of them complain. In fact, at one point Jana cheerily said, “If rain on your wedding day brings good luck, then we are going to have tons of it!”. Her fabulous attitude reminded me a song from my childhood by B.J. Thomas …
“So I just did me some talkin’ to the sun
And I said I didn’t like the way he’ got things done
Sleepin’ on the job
Those raindrops are falling on my head, they keep falling
But there’s one thing I know
The blues he sends to meet me won’t defeat me
It won’t be long till happiness steps up to greet me
Raindrops keep falling on my head
But that doesn’t mean my eyes will soon be turnin’ red
Crying’s not for me
Cause I’m never gonna stop the rain by complainin’
Because I’m free
Nothing’s worrying me”
Congratulations Jana and Hunter. You’re off to such a great start finding the good in everything!
