Highlights from 2017 [Birmingham, AL] Fall Portrait Mini Sessions

Every year I enjoy heading back to my hometown of Birmingham for my annual weekend(s) of Fall Portrait Mini Sessions. It’s fun to recconect with loyal clients who, over the years, have become friends as I’ve watched their children grow up through my lens. I also enjoy meeting new clients. Fall Mini Session dates and online booking is announced each year the first week of August, so mark your calendars to grab your spot. Here are some of my favorite images from the Birmingham sessions. The Montgomery Family

It’s such a privilege to watch these beautiful twin girls grow up through my lens. For this session in their pink heirloom dresses, we met at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. The girls found two rolly pollys that Mom and Dad thought were a distraction to getting good portraits, but I love what those little creatures added to the images to capture their personalities. Such a sweet Birmingham family!

Homewood Cottage by Twin Construction [Featured in B Metro, September 2016 Issue]

It’s always a privilege to shoot a Twin Construction home…they are such great people, who do quality work and have fun while they are doing it. I’m always inspired and walk away wanting to use some elements in my own home…whether it’s unique hardware, gorgeous paint colors, interesting light fixtures or sleek modern lucite counter stools, there’s always a “take home” idea. It’s all in the details. This beautiful Homewood, Alabama cottage is no exception and it’s featured in the September issue of B Metro Magazine. Enjoy!

Nolan is One!

I met Anna a few years ago when she asked me to photograph her adorable nephew who was in town.  She truly is the sweetest soul, so I was excited when she asked me to photograph she and her husband Ben when she was pregnant with Nolan and then last month when Nolan turned one! He’s a doll face and super duper smart. He was moving my hand to scroll through his photos on the back of my camera. Did I mention he’s only one!? And, oh those baby blues!

The Wright Family

Evan won the Vestavia Elementary West Auction donation, and I enjoyed turning my camera on this pretty family. Her spirited 3 year old named Alice, owned me with her red hair, bright blue eyes, dimples and cute pout! She wasn’t in the mood for pictures, but I “get”  and absolutely love a red head (since I have one of my own) so I also got what I wanted and I’m including a lot of them in this post so you can see her fun personality.  And as you will also see, Alice’s brother and sister, Addie and Asher, are just as adorable.

Webb Boys Mini Session

The Spooner Family [Fall Mini Session]

So excited to get to photograph two Spooner families in my years of being a photographer. I photographed these kids’ cousins a few years ago. Both sweet families! Oh how I love a little boy with dimples and boots and his blondie sister with blue eyes is such a cutie!

Ellison, Leighton & Laney

I met Holli, Brian and their girls through Sunday School at our church and they are such a sweet family! Their girls are adorable too and the youngest, Laney, cracked me up at our mini session. She was on the run the entire time with a big smile on her face like, “Catch me if you can!” And I DID catch her! What a cutie patootie!

My Images Published in the Huffington Post!

I’m just now seeing that my images from the Children’s of Alabama Super Heroes, Window Washing event ran in the Huffington Post last week. I’m just a teeny bit excited about it, but even more thrilled that Children’s of Alabama got so much national exposure; so that the hospital can keep doing amazing things for sick kids here in Alabama!
