Breanne and I met years ago in Birmingham. She was a pilates participant in my classes there and also babysat my kids while she was in pharmacy school. So, when she contacted me to photograph her newborn baby boy at their home in Chattanooga, of course it was an absolute “yes”! Plus, who doesn’t love a road trip to charming Chattanooga? Here’s some of my favorite images from our morning together at their home perched on Lookout Mountain.
A few years ago I photographed the Levin family at their beautiful Lake Martin home. So, I was excited when they asked me to photograph them again as their sons, daughter in laws and granddaughters all gathered at their home in Birmingham for Thanksgiving. The Levins are such kind people with adorable kids/grandkids. Clearly they have a great deal to be thankful for!
Every year I enjoy heading back to my hometown of Birmingham for my annual weekend(s) of Fall Portrait Mini Sessions. It’s fun to recconect with loyal clients who, over the years, have become friends as I’ve watched their children grow up through my lens. I also enjoy meeting new clients. Fall Mini Session dates and online booking is announced each year the first week of August, so mark your calendars to grab your spot. Here are some of my favorite images from the Birmingham sessions. And, you can see the Franklin, TN Mini Sessions here.
It’s such a privilege to watch these beautiful twin girls grow up through my lens. For this session in their pink heirloom dresses, we met at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. The girls found two rolly pollys that Mom and Dad thought were a distraction to getting good portraits, but I love what those little creatures added to the images to capture their personalities. Such a sweet Birmingham family!
Welcome to the world Elle! You and your sisters are just beautiful!
I love getting back into the roots of my business every fall. Kids & Family Portraits is how it all started for me over 14 years ago, so every year in the fall I offer Portrait Mini Sessions…both in Franklin, TN and Birmingham, AL. It allows me to reconnect with so many clients whose kids I’ve watched grow up though my lens as they’ve helped grow my business. I also love the opportunity it gives me to meet new families. Portrait Minis are a great value, because it’s the only time during the year that the print minimum is waived and 5 digital files are included with the session, helping you easily update your family photos and profile pictures, and YES get Christmas cards checked off the list!
Online booking opens Tuesday, August 1st at 8:00 AM sharp. For more information and to book online, go to the website.
Here are some highlights from last year’s fall minis…
Stay tuned for Birmingham Fall Mini Session dates to be announced this week. Limited availability and online booking through the website. Here’s one of my favorite sessions from last fall…
Lisa and I have known each other for years and it’s aways a privilege and a pleasure to photograph the homes she designs. So, I was excited when she asked me to photograph her beautiful girls last fall. Not only are these blondies cute, they are super sweet too. Love what we captured in my favorite creek…
Loved getting to photograph the Dennis family again last fall for 25 minutes of mini session fun in the creek! And yes, her little one owns me with her big personality! What a beautiful family!
Evan won the Vestavia Elementary West Auction donation, and I enjoyed turning my camera on this pretty family. Her spirited 3 year old named Alice, owned me with her red hair, bright blue eyes, dimples and cute pout! She wasn’t in the mood for pictures, but I “get” and absolutely love a red head (since I have one of my own) so I also got what I wanted and I’m including a lot of them in this post so you can see her fun personality. And as you will also see, Alice’s brother and sister, Addie and Asher, are just as adorable.
