I met Dawn Ann through a mutual friend. She’s this super cool, urban cowgirl with her own flair and spin on refined western style. She’ll even trick out your Louis Vuitton by adding some fringe.

Dawn Ann recently moved to Nashville from their ranch in Montana, with her musician husband and their daughter. Dawn Ann, a model and actress, owns Moo Country in Red Lodge, Montana and just just opened her second store here in historic Leipers Fork, Tennessee. Much of what she sells are her own designs. Check out a few items from Moo Country featured in the gift guide in the current issue of Nashville Lifestyles Magazine [December 2018].

Alabama Chanin Fashion Story [Birmingham Magazine Weddings, February 2018]

Hand sewn garments, quality focused, responsibly produced, rich in tradition, and created in Alabama. THIS was a fun project to shoot. If you ever find yourself near Florence, Alabama, stop by the Alabama Chanin factory, browse their organic garments and home goods, then sit down for a bite of lunch at The Factory Café. So much southern goodness created by Natalie Chanin, right there in my home state. Read the full story in the current issue of Birmingham Weddings Magazine.

I loved everything about this shoot and our amazing team. I’ve worked with Hair & Make Up Artist, Celine Russell, many times and it’s always a pleasure. Her work is flawless. This was my first time working with stylist, Mary Beth Wetzel and wow! Can’t wait to work with her again. She’s a mover, shaker and beautiful shoot maker! Holiday Fashion & Cocktails Shoot [Published Birmingham Magazine, December 2015]

Recently I purchased a new strobe lighting system to add to my arsenal of equipment for editorial and commercial work. Loved putting it to work for the first time on this holiday fashion and cocktails shoot for Birmingham Magazine. Special thanks to new The Grand Bohemian Hotel in Mountain Brook, AL for allowing us to shoot in their amazing hotel.

Men’s Fashion Shoot (Published in Birmingham Magazine, June 2015)

I loved getting to work with stylist and writer, Kerri Bunn, on the June 2015 Men’s Fashion issue of Birmingham Magazine. Kerri and I have worked together before on editorial stories and it’s always a pleasure!

Because this story was about men’s beard grooming, I didn’t want the images to be about the clothes, or eye color, or hair color, but more about the styling and texture of the beards. So, I decided to edit the images as warm tone black and whites.

This was such a fun shoot because the guy models really bought into our vision. We wanted them to play to the camera with their personalities and that’s exactly what they did. We laughed a lot.

It was such a fun surprise that two of the images made it on the cover!
