Holiday Cocktails & Dinner Party with Molly Sohr of The Cedarlane, Nashville TN

Who doesn’t love a dinner party at home? There’s just something extra special about it. No dealing with the noise and crowds of a restaurant, relaxing on the sofa around a fire, designing a unique table, crafting the cocktails and food menu, choosing your own playlist, and treating your dearest friends to a night created just for them. Molly Sohr of The Cedarlane designed a modern black, white table with ghost chairs and greenery with magnolia leaves by Elle Worsham of Gracious Garlands. Yes, it’s the holidays, but this table could be used for any winter gathering. Enjoy some inspiration for your own entertaining at home.HDP-CedarlaneGGarlands-252.jpgHDP-CedarlaneGGarlands-3.jpgHDP-CedarlaneGGarlands-5.jpgHDP-CedarlaneGGarlands-13.jpgHDP-CedarlaneGGarlands-14.jpgHDP-CedarlaneGGarlands-28.jpg

Kathy G Entertaining at Home [Birmingham Magazine editorial shoot]

This past October, I had the privilege of photographing Kathy G at home for Birmingham Magazine. Kathy, owner of Kathy G & Co., has been the face of food and entertaining in Birmingham for as long as I can remember. I’m even proud to say she catered my own wedding 17 years ago and did an amazing job!

I was invited into Kathy’s home to capture her ideas for fall entertaining and was amazed at how effortless she made it all seem, even though every detail had been carefully thought out. My favorite presentation was the cheese she molded into the colors and shapes apples and pears to serve with crackers. And, for the stems of the fruit shaped cheese, she walked outside and cut a few things from her yard. Perfect! I also loved the pumpkins and sunflowers, boasting vibrant and warm colors of fall, on the tables.

Enough of my descriptions. I’ll let the images speak to how talented Kathy is. And, I’m so excited that some of the images I took that day will also be featured in her very first cookbook which is scheduled to be released this year. Enjoy the images…and I dare you not to get hungry…
