It’s always fun to start seeing ads roll out after shooting a campaign. The focus of this campaign for the YMCA of Middle Tennessee is a membership drive, with an incentive for inviting a friend to join the Y and work out together. We had a great team on this shoot! More new work to come…

Last month I had the privilege of photographing 15 year old singer/songwriter, Anna Grace Beatty, who’s getting ready to release her first album. It’s not often you meet 15 year olds with such passion to pursue their dream career and at such a young age. I have no doubt this young musician has a bright future ahead of her, and I can’t wait to see where her talent and determination takes her in the music industry.

Photographers sometimes have to step out of our norm (and what people are used to seeing from us) and do something completely different to fuel our creative juices. This is one of those times for me. Such a fun day of shooting in the studio with Ashley! And a big thanks to Cameron Powell for pushing me to create something different and allowing me to use his space to do it.

Last month I had the privilege of photographing Carlos Izcaray, the new Music Director Designate of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra. He was getting acquainted with the community while drinking coffee and eating breakfast with the locals at Continental Bakery in English Village. Prior to this visit, I had the opportunity to see him in his orchestra directorial debut at the Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center. Carlos is an incredibly talented, kind and humble person. I know Birmingham is going to embrace him and his lovely family. He’s going to make some magical music in the Magic City.
