This wedding inspiration shoot was inspired by the rich colors of an antique Italian painting — golds, azure blues, deep browns, burnt orange and reds. The modern but traditional European rustic architecture of Springhouse Restaurant was the perfect setting with its stone, wood and timber construction.
The bride wears a Monique Lhuillier three piece gown featuring a strapless sweetheart corset adorned with Chantilly lace. The corset is complimented with a removable caplet appliquéd with Chantilly lace and a hand draped trumpet skirt that flows into a beautiful chapel length train. The groom’s luxurious velvet tuxedo jacket is by Hugo Boss from Saks Fifth Avenue.
All florals include a variety of rich pink and gold garden roses, peonies, ranunculus, wheat stems and deep blue thistle. Additional texture and depth of color is added with cranberry cockscomb, pepper berry, amaranthus alongside several foraged varieties of greenery. Silk and willow cranberry ribbon is used on the grooms bout. Streaming taupe and blue silk and willow ribbons are combined with a beaded vintage Italian ribbon on the brides bouquet. The simple wedding cake is adorned with with creeping ficus, foraged abelia pods, and ranunculus.
An al fresco dining table is set with LaTavolas cut velvet damask kings drape linen, vibrant florals in rust Italian urns and traditional X back farm chairs. The table settings are classic Italian wares — gorgeous gold Arte Italica stemware and Richard Ginori estate dinnerware. Wax seals, vintage antique postage stamps and Roman numerals add an Italian touch to the paper goods. Springhouse’s renowned wine cellar and wine tasting turrent are featured as an additional location for the bride and groom’s wedding celebration. It’s also from where they make their departure.
