We attend the same church as Ryan and Jennifer, but Shades Mountain Baptist is large, so my first time actually meeting them was at our session. Ryan had purchased a gift certificate for Jennifer as a Christmas gift. She was ready for her session in early spring, but we had to reschedule several times due the rainy season. Then, finally their day arrived! We roamed around Hoover chasing light (and their youngest) while taking advantage of the crimson clover still in bloom. I enjoyed meeting this sweet family and loved the images that came from our afternoon together.
I have loved getting to know this family over the years and they have become near and dear to my heart. Every year I get the privilege of photographing them and seeing how much these boys have grown. Aren’t they the cutest?! This year we had to get their sweet grandmother and her cat in the shot. After all, they are so much a part of the family too!
Haisley and I met years ago when we worked for a magazine publisher. I liked her immediately because she invited me (the new girl) to lunch on my very first day there. I remember thinking that was about the nicest thing you could do for a new employee to make them feel welcome. I loved that job and we have had the best time working together over the years. I’ve photographed Adelaide, but this was my first time to meet Haisley and Carlton’s new little blessing, Winnie. These girls are so sweet, with naturally rosy cheeks and big beautiful blue eyes that catch the light in an amazing way!
