This is my third session with this sweet family this year and oh how I have loved spending time with them! From their Rosemary Beach session when Kristen was expecting, to the birth story of Elle, and now her newborn shots with her big brother, Owen. Isn’t she a doll!
I’ve grown so very fond of the Bailey family. It begin with our beach session this past summer. Kristen and Brian had their adorable little boy Owen with them and were expecting their baby girl, whom they had already named, Elle. We happily roamed around Alys and Rosemary Beaches on a beautiful summer day, as I captured images of their family of three..soon to be four. You can see those images here. Kristen also asked me to photograph the birth of Elle and a newborn session for their Christmas cards.
So, after spending time with this family over the course of last year and capturing some of their big life moments, I grew to love this precious family. I’ll now share with you Elle’s birth story at St. Vincent’s Hospital. She is one blessed little girl to have Kristen and Brian as parents and Owen as her big brother!
No, we are not related, but I love that we share the name. I photographed Abby and Neal’s Shoal Creek wedding as second shooter with my friend Stacy, so I got to see her as a bride, and now as a mom. And, on both occasions she was beautiful, graceful, calm and relaxed.
Here are some of my favorite images of this sweet family at home just a few days after Durham was born. What a cutie!
Fur baby had to get in on the action too…
I met Holli, Brian and their girls through Sunday School at our church and they are such a sweet family! Their girls are adorable too and the youngest, Laney, cracked me up at our mini session. She was on the run the entire time with a big smile on her face like, “Catch me if you can!” And I DID catch her! What a cutie patootie!
Meet Bennett. He’s the cutest little guy and definitely not short on love from the women in his life. His mom, aunt and grandmother came along for our photo shoot fun! I loved meeting this sweet family.
Here’s an action shot Bennett’s grandmother took with her iPhone. My favorite assistant was helping me…my 10 year old daughter. I hope she’ll be my partner one day!
For now, I’ll take what I can get while she’s out of school for summer.
Last time I photographed Max, his mom, Peyton, was expecting baby brother Sam! So, this trip I got to meet little Sam, and what a cutie he is with those big brown eyes! And what a photographer’s dream to just walk out in their backyard and down to their dock for a few shots! Since Max loves to fish, we had to capture him in his element!
When I got there, Sam was eating a chocolate cookie in his pristine white John John…I was a little nervous, but y’all, the boy didn’t get a drop on him! I was so impressed! The grandparents were also there for a visit; so the first shot I’ll share with you is a sweet moment between Sam (cookie in hand) with his grandfather…
Definitely a momma’s boy!
Time to share a sucker for a little incentive…
And oh how I absolutely adore how this little series of shots unfolded…

For several years now, this sweet family drives from Tuscaloosa for me to take their portraits. I consider it such a privilege. Ellie was the first, and now now she is sharing the spotlight with her sisters Ann Barrett and Alex.
After driving in from out of town and battling the rain all afternoon, I hope Ashley sees from the images that it was all worth it! 😉 Glad we finally found our window of opportunity! These girls are as cute as baby dolls, and just as sweet too!
