My mom is an interior designer and I started out in Interior Design when I was at Alabama, but later changed my major. So, I’m kind of a designer wanna be and I get my “fix” by playing in my own home and by photographing real designers’ work. In addition to shooting for individual designers, I regularly shoot the Dwellings section for Birmingham Magazine. I am always taking mental notes on paint colors, fabrics, materials, and furniture placement for my own home. It’s so much fun to see designers’ creativity and expertise come to life in a home. And, each one has their own unique style of creating spaces for their clients.
This summer I had the privilege of shooting for Birmingham interior designer, Libby Greene, who has been chosen as a Tastemaker for Antiques at the Gardens this year at Birmingham Botanical Gardens Oct 2-5. Here are some of my favorite images. She has exquisite taste in antiques and is an incredibly talented designer. Read more about Libby on al.com’s article here.
