Jaime and Chris have been acquaintences of mine for several years through mutual friends. I met each of them separately even before they were dating. Individually they both have such fun personalities, and after being around them a few times when they were dating and then on their wedding day, it was obvious that they are perfect for each other! They look at each other so adoringly and laugh a lot! Two qualities every marriage should have.
There were two very moving moments for me on Jaime and Chris’s wedding day. The first was right after their “first look”, when Chris immediately bowed his head and prayed for their marriage. What an amazing way to begin their lives together as husband and wife! And later, when they said vows to their children in front of all their friends and family. The children’s expressions were precious!
Both of their families were touched very closely by cancer in the last couple of years, so this wedding was a beautiful blessing to all who were there to celebrate their joyful union. I’m so glad they wanted me to be a part of it. All day long I was reminded of the amazing hope we have in Jesus.
