I met the Taylor family for the first time this past fall when I traveled to their vacation home in Springville, AL. They told me they spend alot of time their together flying kites, riding mini motorcycles, building bonfires, watching football and entertaining friends from church. So, I traveled to their home to photograph them in one of their favorite places that holds so many memories. As I drove into the driveway I could easily see why they love this place so close, but yet so far away from the demands on family time in Birmingham. Their home was perched up on a hill with mountain and valley vistas as far as the eye could see. Immediately I could feel the peace and relaxation come over me. And, I was instantly charmed by this sweet couple and their adorable daughters. It was a very cold and blustery day, but we had fun playing games and running around on the hillside. At the end my hands were cold, so they gave me some yummy hot chocolate for my trip home. Days like this are ones when I drive away with a smile on my face, thankful that my job allows me to meet new families and get a peek inside their lives. I left with warm hands and a warm heart.
