I met Rhonda last year while photographing an Ovarian Cancer benefit she was hosting. Lily, her daughter, is going to be a Senior in high school this year, so I was excited when Rhonda asked me to do her portraits. After discussing several locations for Lily’s shoot, we decided on Sloss Furnace and Morris Ave…two historical Birmingham landmarks with lots of character. I love iron, steel, old brick, chipped paint, and neat old doors!
We’ve had such an rainy summer, so I was incredibly thankful for sunshine and dreamy light during our early evening together. I had the best time with this mother and daughter duo! Lily is a beautiful girl inside and out, just like her sweet mom! I’m sure she’ll be a bright light in the class of 2014.
