I love this sweet family and the history we have. Emily and I were pregnant at the same time and our kids starting having playdates together when they were just babies. We were in church together, Bible study together, and prayed for each other countless times when the Lord allowed various trials in our lives, some big and some small. Their family moved to Mississippi a few years ago and we really miss them; but Emily is one of those dear friends where we can just pick up where we left off. I love that!
I stayed with with them in their home while I was shooting in Madison so our daughters could play and Emily and I could catch up. We actually got more time to catch up than we expected due to the weather and having to rearrange shoot schedules…a blessing in disguise. Beau has a very special relationship with his dog, Bei, who was a gift from his Aunt. So, when Bei reached up and licked Beau right on the mouth as I pressed the shutter, I knew it would be a priceless image.
And the laughs that came after were priceless too!
