I like change. Change is exciting, especially when you are a very visual person and creating something feels almost as important as breathing. I like change in my home decor, my clothes, my shoes, my music and my workouts…but my business identity is not something I want to change often. However, 2012 brought some new and exciting changes to the content of what I was shooting. In addition to my core business of portraits, in 2012 I second shot more weddings than ever and added national sports events to my portfolio, with more to come in 2013. After 10 years of the same logo, it was looking tired and did not represent my personal style or the style of my photography anymore; so I decided it was the perfect time to make a change.
I asked my talented friend Holly Hollon for her help because I knew she could create something from the ideas and styles that were swirling around in my head. I wanted a modern, clean look, playing off my initials, while keeping the same color palette . Turquoise has always been my favorite color because it reminds me of the beach. Just like the ocean water, it’s a place for my eyes to rest and makes me relaxed and happy…exactly how I want my clients to feel when I photograph them!
