Last month I shot another wedding with my friend Melissa Pardi. It was a record hot day at almost 100 degrees and the wedding was outdoors! We almost melted, but had a great time shooting together. I’ll post some of the wedding images later; but what I want to share with you now is our little experiment. After the reception was over, the bride and groom were headed to The Tutwiler Hotel to have drinks with friends who had come to the wedding. Before they met their friends we had some fun with them downtown. Melissa had known the bride and groom since high school, so they let us do a little experimenting. It was completely dark outside and she wanted to try a few moody, shadowy, urban shots using only available light from nearby streetlamps and building fixtures, an experiment which greatly tested the capabilities of our cameras…and us! We did not use a tripod for any of these shots. It’s always fun to try something new and challenge yourself. Here are some of the shots that came out of our little experiment. 🙂
