Yesterday I had the pleasure of doing my very first bridal portrait session for a family we have been in church and Sunday school with for years at Briarwood. To tell you I was thrilled is an understatement! Their daughter and the bride, Barbara, is also our children’s church leader. My 7 year old who is in children’s church with Barbara already thinks she is a princess, so when she saw the images I was uploading last night it sealed the deal that she really is one!
It was a gorgeous afternoon and we had fun prancing around the gardens. All eyes were on Barbara, that’s for sure! Well, her mom and grandmother’s eyes might have been glaring at me a little to make sure the dress stayed pristine for the wedding amidst all of my ideas for shots! 🙂
I can’t post any of the images of her until after the wedding on the 17th…wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise! So, I can only post this one that won’t give anything away. The groom has already seen the shoes…they are her “something old” because she wore them in the Miss Alabama pageant. I’m pretty sure these shoes are special and will always have a place in Barbara’s closet.
